Week 13

Absolute nightmare of a game. Injuries are absolutely killing me. I'll be lucky if I can field a team in the PAC 12 championship. My 4th string (!) QB played the majority of the 1st half due to injury, and left his mark... In the form of turnovers. The game started all in my favor, but after that injury, and the turnovers that ensued, you could feel the momentum swing. Stanford quit throwing the ball, and let that monstrous OL and Barry Sanders Jr do their thing. Final score 20-13 in Stanfords favor. One of those games everyone is always talking about where EA takes over. None the less, hopefully I can get one of either my starting QB, RB, or WR back for the PAC 12 championship. UCLA down to its fourth-string quarterback? Well, at least EA Sports made sure the game was realistic. It was either play my 4th stringer or burn my best prospects redshirt. Had to bite the bullet a bit.

Tennessee 59 - 52 Kentucky.
Well I didn't expect this game to be this close. I played my second units the entire second half to get them do lengthy game time and the score shows it. I also probably played a little overconfident since I knew it would take quite a miracle for me to lose to the Wildcats.

Week 13

Post by heznfire on Sept 18, 2012 22:49:53 GMT -5
Missouri - 21 #9 Texas A&M - 24
An instant classic!
Once again, law school will prevent me from writing a lengthy recap.
Missouri scored on a 15-yard TD pass to DGB with 21 seconds left in the game to tie the score at 21 apiece. After a QB scramble set me up at the MU 40-yard line, I was able to float a perfect touch pass on a cross route in between the linebackers and the safeties to pick up a much needed 25 yards with seven seconds left. With a 5 MPH wind at my back and power kicker on the sideline, I placed the ball in between the hashmarks and kicked a game-winning 46-yard field goal.
Great game, Ziff. My secondary stepped up in the first half with those three interceptions. I wish I could have converted them into touchdowns, not field goals, but I'll take it. Your run-option game is tough to handle. Josey was all over the place, especially on those counters.
This sets up a rematch between Ozi and I in the SEC Championship. It should be a good one. BTW I believe LSU beat Arkansas, so if I had lost, Ozi would have played the CPU in the SEC Championship Game. I'm glad it didn't happen that way.

Utah 44 - Colorado 20
Got my revenge from last year....thank god. This game was actually pretty close due to my profound ability to throw INTs. I was only up 10 with 30 seconds left.....on 3rd and long, I hit Dres Anderson (who I really hope doesn't go pro) for a long TD to seal the deal. I then proceeded to force a fumble on the kickoff and take it to the house for another TD. So, the scores looks more convincing then it was, but, I'll take a rivalry win anyway I can.

A&M 24 Mizzou 21....EA was kind enough to tell me it was my 3rd Greatest Game of All TIme as soon as the ball sailed thru the uprights. Well that caused me some lost sleep last night. I was so stunned with that pass over the middle I forgot I had a time out to ice the kicker that I didn't use. Oh well. It was a great call Hez. I had no idea what play to expect. I was supposed to have a guy in the middle but I was not overloading the middle because you hadn't worked the deep middle all game.
The interceptions are just killing me. Hez if you remember can you let me know what defense you had on the 1st interception? From the replays it appeared you had an overload blitz with the corner coming off the edge with zone behind it(EA really needs to allow you to save game tapes from your games or allow you to see other games in the upcoming versions that will really force teams to evolve if you can work on their favorite plays) Anyway, I didn't see the blitz I thought I had man on the outside and tried to throw a 10yd hitch for the 1st down. I don't think I've seen a db jump a hitch in this version of the game that well. Being in zone I think allowed him to do that. It was a nice call by Hez. That stemmed my momentum from a 4th down stop 3 plays earlier.
The 2nd interception was complete bullshit. That guy came out of nowhere with EA turbos. My TE was wide open. On replay it looked like Franklin threw it behind him a little....@#$%@#$.
The 3rd Int was a good read but I forgot to hotroute my rb so he wasn't in the vacinity. His guy came off him from the bottom of the screen to get underneath my outroute. Just good play by your db and bad luck for me.
3 interceptions in a 5 minute span usually doom a team but I held Hez to fg's so it allowed me to stay in contact. I got a couple of key 3rd down stops and it gave me a chance.
It was a fun game because there was a lot of cat and mouse gameplanning going on. Hez made a couple of great adjustments on some key option plays. My home run option to the beast known as DGB came free, but I saw that Hez was manually blitzing the LB baiting me to take the read and keep it. If I could pitch it DGB probabaly would have went the distance, but Hez got to me before I could execute and got me for a big loss. Stuff like that went on all game. Really a fun game to play.
Good Luck Hez you have to carry the West Banner Proud in the Champ Game.

Oh and could one of my db's hold onto a ball just fucking once!!!!!!!!!! I think our interceptions are 5-0 in our 2 games Hez. The near pick I had on my goalline was huge. It was thrown right at him and the piece of garbage dropped it. Maybe it is the tape I put on my defenders hands to make them look cool. :-(

My bad. I think we can wait a little while, but both are ineligible for bowls and playing out the string so I don't think we should wait too long for a meaningless digi game.
As a side note.... Quinn how are you getting players? Your recruit time never moves. Are you having the computer recruit for you?
