Utah's last-minute win against NC State extends the Pac-12's winning streak in the Conference Challenge to four games. I don't want to overlook the South Carolina-Maryland match-up still left to be played in Week 5 as the loser's conference will be sitting on the brink of elimination ...
But the Missouri-UCLA battle in Week 6 is a HUGE game. A UCLA win would mean that the Pac-12 could not finish below the SEC. At best for the SEC, they would be able to finish in a tie at 7-5. (Note: Two-way tiebreakers will be determined by the conferences' head-to-head record).
The ramifications will be clearer once we have a result for the South Carolina-Maryland game because a Gamecocks loss would mean that the UCLA-Missouri bout would be an elimination game for the SEC.

Can Aggie fans root for the Tigers??? S- E- CEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This is the most pressure heading into a game I've felt since we started. This bumps ahead of last years inaugural A&M game.
Back to the lab to work on my defense.

The Pac-12 officially controls its own destiny in the 2013 Conference Challenge. If Washington beats Pittsburgh in Week 10, the Pac-12 wins the challenge.
The Pac-12 will also win the challenge if both the ACC and SEC suffer one more loss. Thus, the conference affiliated with the loser of the South Carolina-Pittsburgh match in Week 7 will be eliminated.
Basically, the Pac-12 has this all but wrapped up.

If South Carolina beats Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh beats Washington, the SEC would have to win the rest of its games in The Challenge to force a tie. If this were to occur, both the SEC and Pac-12 would have 7-5 records.
The first tiebreaker is H2H record, but the Pac-12 and the SEC went 3-3 against each other.
The second tiebreaker has yet to be determined. I have thought about using points scored, points allowed, and margin of victory, but all of them give incentive to run up the score, which will not be allowed.

I don't think points scored would be fair for the Pac-12 thanks to Beef and I haha jk. Maybe BCS rank? or something along those lines.
