1. The reason why we started this dynasty in NCAA '13 with lower-rated teams in three separate conferences was to ensure that no user had an inherent advantage over the others. As we experienced in NCAA '12, it was not fair to the Purdue's and Indiana's of the world to have square off against the Michigan's and Ohio State's. Everyone was to start on the same level in terms of competitiveness on and off the field.
Ziff, your proposal will attempt to gradually reset the dynasty. While I understand that you're trying to make the teams even on the playing field, it's not fair to punish the users who have built up their programs in three seasons by limiting their recruiting capabilities. We knew that some users were going to build up their programs faster than others, and those users' winning ways should allow them access to higher rated recruits.
If the users that haven't built up their programs as fast want to level up, they need to start winning their games on the field. They may be at somewhat of a talent disadvantage now, but there are certainly ways to get better with scheme and execution. Plus, as you mentioned, with the scouting feature, there are 3* GEMs that these programs can grab. It's not as if these programs can't grab 75+ OVR recruits. The disadvantage is not nearly as great as it was in NCAA '12. There's plenty of opportunity to make up ground. Thus, I won't be limiting teams to the type of recruits they can recruit.
2. Quinn can change his team from NC State to another 4* or less team in the ACC if he so chooses. It's his personal choice to auto-recruit, so it's his fault that he faces a talent deficiency. Although, I'm going to talk to Quinn about being more active in the dynasty for the upcoming season.
3. There will be a guarantee of five users games each season after the conference re-alignment (three non-conference, two conference), and that is the best I can do for a three-conference dynasty. The only way to increase the number of user games is to have a one-conference or two-conference dynasty, but that would involve switching teams and creating the inherent disadvantages between users.
There will only be three user non-conference games because the CPU non-conference game allows users to schedule rivalry games. Plus, it's already borderline impossible to schedule and fit three user non-conference games because I can't rearrange the conference schedules.
For the conference schedule, each team will have a permanent user crossover game within their conference. Therefore, there is no chance of playing only one user opponent in your conference.
4. Once Michwolverine plays his bowl game, we will advance to the offseason. I personally cannot sit down and knock out the offseason in one sitting. I'm too busy with law school. However, we were able to finish it in a two- or three-day span last season, and I don't expect it to be any different this time around.
