UCLA 27 - UT 24
Great Game, Beef. As Beef said, we dealt with some connection issues, but went through and finished the game up.
I got a big boost from my running game. The freshman Jon Gray gave me a big boost late in the 2nd quarter with a big 75 yd touchdown run. Shaun Beck did his thing on the 1st drive, getting loose for a big gainer and 6 points. Beck was huge through out the game, coming up with several big conversions.
As the 2nd half went on, specifically the 4th quarter, Beef and I exchange turnovers, and battled for field position. Both of us got into solid field position but couldn't take advantage. With about 3 and a half minutes left, Beef pinned me deep in my own territory. Then came the disconnect
After the disconnect, on the much awaited 3rd and 11, I of course threw an interception to give beef great field position. Beef cashed in and tied the game at 24 with about 2 minutes left.
On the ensuing drive, I received a big boost out of my backup (1b) running back. He slipped into the flats and I hit him. He worked his way up the sideline and got me to about Beefs 40 yard line. After gaining a first down, and getting the clock to about 20 seconds, beef had used his remaining 2 timeouts, and I kicked the field goal to go up 27-24.
On the ensuing kickoff, I squibbed the ball as perfect as it possibly could have been kicked. The ball settled around the 10, and Beefs kick returner struggling to gain control of the ball. My kick coverage jumped on it. Took a knee. Ball game.
Great game Beef. It's nice to win another tight one.

Utes 62 - BYU 10
This one got ugly early as I had two defensive TDs in the first quarter. BYU was actually playing well early, they forced two INTs and moved the ball against my defense. The turnovers put me up 14-0 and then my offense started to click. Another solid overall day passing for 300 + and rushing for 200+. Backups continue to get playing time which should help next year as I'm losing some key talent.

Mizzou 42 Ark 28
Arkansas is pretty tough on offense to stop. They adjusted to the blitzes with a lot of quick passes and their line opened holes if you sat back and the rb was a beast. He was like a fast Mike Alstott. Arkansas really put it to me on d until I figured out their safeties could not defend deep so we abandoned the run game and let it fly deep.

Both teams recorded a safety. Pulled away in the second half. Big momentum swing in the second quarter for Ole Miss.

All right Turtles......we've played the prelims now it's time for business. 2 days until stage 1 of the SEC West Elimination tournament begins. You win it's pretty much over. You get a cake walk to the SEC champ game. If I win it opens up stage 2 for Mizzou vs Tenn
Appropriately you are slotted 1 ranking point above me as we head into this showdown. As Bart Scott so beautifully said........CAN'T WAIT!!
