It's not official yet, but Bjams has found a 12th member to take over the reigns in Seattle, Washington. I have already set up an account for him on the message board, and I will send him the invite on PSN later this evening.
Everyone, welcome Richmeek90!

You will have your chance to extend your winning streak in Week 12. I realized that we didn't have a general "news" or "discussion" thread, so this will be it for the 2014 season.

Welcome Rich.
Hez did you see my idea in the week 3 thread? To summarize I was wondering what you thought of trimming the SEC to 12 teams so we could have cross over rivalries with Ozi and Beef and run into the other guy a little more than every 8 years. Beef agreed and no word yet from Ozi. Thanks.

Beef agreed and no word yet from Ozi. Thanks. I like the idea, and we can consider it at the end of the season. I have two points, with the second one being more of an issue: 1. If we cut the SEC to 12 teams, I'm going to cut the ACC to 12 teams, too. All three conferences might as well have the same number of teams. The four teams that would be cut would be thrown into the Big East, which has only six teams at the moment. 2. Which teams does each conference cut? How do rivalries impact these decisions? If members of both conferences can agree on which teams to cut and divisional alignment, then I will make the changes for the 2015 season.

Agree Hez on everyone going to 12. I didn't realize ACC was 14 as well. Cut Em. As for the teams I'll be Switzerland. I don't care as I have no baked in rivalries. Beef has rivalries with Vandy and Kentucky. We don't have any so I don't think it too unfair to boot one. My vote is Ole Miss and Vandy.
PS Come on Tenn. Kentucky is a rivalry? I'll give you Vandy because they are in your own state, but this is like MSU and Indiana being a rivalry. Kentucky has to win 1 to be a rivalry. :-)
As for the ACC I don't have a dog in the fight but you got a lot of great candidates but Duke, BC and the Cuse seem like obvious options.

Kentucky has to win 1 to be a rivalry. :-) After 26 straight wins, the streak broke last season. Kentucky beat Tennessee for the first time in my lifetime! I'd actually rather lose Kentucky than Vandy, though, if that's OK. I like losing Ole Miss and Kentucky--I think those are good options.

Maryland will nominate Duke and Syracuse as the two teams to be dropped. One is from the atlantic and one is from the coastal division.
Welcome to the dynasty richmeek.

UNC doesn't have too many rivals and Duke is one of them, I'm gona have to veto against kicking out Duke, but I don't see a problem making the conference's smaller

Virginia is my rival so I need them. Drop Boston College and Syracuse and move Virginia or Georgia Tech to the Atlantic might work. Pitt, what are your rivals?
