Texas A&M picked up two instant commits:
4* T Calvin Thompson -- No. 160 overall, No. 11 T -- Glendale, AZ -- 74 (-1), 40% 3* OLB Ben Van -- No. 316 overall, No. 20 OLB -- First Colony, TX -- 70 (-), 35%
The Aggies have 18 scholarships remaining.
BTW I think it'd be cool if everyone posted how much their commits had been scouted as it can add more discussion about who's adding more gems vs. busts.

Mizzou got a big instant commit
4* #9 G Rhett Duncan Oh 76(-3) 100%
Had a weird one. I was down to 40 minutes left and it would not allow me to recruit anyone. It told me I could not recruit because the time was already allocated. When I backed out the time disappeared.

Two instant commits for the Vols. Brandon Beach, a 3* and 12th rated center from Ohio decided that life was better when it's orange and white. Tennessee also landed a 4* talent when the 10th rated OLB committed to the Vols. He's from DC and looks to show off his run stopping abilities in front of the Pride of the Southland Band.
The Vols have 12 scholarships remaining.

I just lost out on the best gem I've seen in my short time playing this game. The No. 36 ranked QB Vincent Stallings committed to LSU. He was a 79 (+12). I was hoping I'd be the only one to realize his five-star talents, but LSU -- his leader from the get go -- gave him an offer he couldn't refuse.
Damn.

Update from week 1 of recruiting. Instant commit from the only QB I decided to recruit due to depth at the position. Jermaine Anderson, a 6'5 208 lbs QB from CA(***).

Hez...you are in my division, my conference and my recruiting board. I love ya but i really need someone to beat your ass. My on the field suckage is not going to help me battle you on the recruiting front as you took my top rated DE Target.
On the brighter side I got my 2nd commit
1* FB Rodney Hawkins # 22 FB , 1,000,267 overall Shreveport, La --76(+12) 70% Scouted. My 1st ever Gem.

I anticipate some commitments this week; we'll see what happens. Based on interest and who was visiting this week, I should pick up a FB, DT, and HB.

Each of our results the next few weeks are going to be critical. Currently, there are three recruits that I lead for, but you are right behind me in second place. I can't afford a slip-up as it's going to be a battle to see who will reel them in. Although, if you need someone to beat me, Week 4 just might be your week. Despite his 0-2 start this season, Jank has always given me fits and has a lengthy winning streak against me. If he figures out the strengths of his team and playbook, you might just be in luck.

HaHa. Don't let up on your recruiting of those guys. I'm not rolling over on them. I won't tell you which one of the 3 I went All In Lane Kiffin Style and maybe stretched the truth in my promises.
In all seriousness I do love this game and how everything is setting up so far. Like for one of the recruits you are his top school and have him scheduled for a week 6 visit. I hadn't scouted or talked to him much but I did see he had an opening in week 5 so I booked it to see if I could beat you to the punch despite my lack of pitches I can throw at him. It's pretty cool having to strategize instead of just signing the next 5 star guy.
As a side note, the only real problem I have with the game are the psychic CB's who run in front of the WR's in man to man from time to time. Have you guys noticed this and have you heard on any of the other boards if this is getting fixed?
See you in hell Hez. It is becoming crystal clear that the A&M game for Mizzou is the equivalent of Mich is for Sparty.
